My Calorie Counter

Whenever I am trying to shed a few pounds I always trust my calorie counter to help me determine which foods would be best for me to eat and which foods I should avoid. There are some foods which are extremely high in calories that I only eat in moderation and on special occasions. A good example of this type of food would be chocolate cake or fried chicken. Then there are some foods that I am not sure about when it comes to calorie content and for these I simply pull out my calorie counter and check to see how many calories there are per serving. In addition, there is also a website that I often frequent which is called my calorie counter.com. Here I can get insight on all sorts of different foods which are low calorie as well foods that I should steer clear of.

The truth of the matter is I would probably be lost without my calorie counter, especially when I’m going out to eat in restaurants that I’m unfamiliar with. Menus can be very enticing and usually everything pictured on a menu looks delicious. However, without a calorie counter is very difficult to know what it is that you should eat and what it is that you should avoid like the plague. Some people believe that calories do not matter when you are on a diet but I am here to tell you that that is absolutely not true. The more calories you eat the more weight you will gain, just as a fewer amount of calories will help you to lose weight. This does not mean that you should not eat a well-balanced diet. It is very important to be sure that you always get the vitamins and minerals which are essential for proper health.

Most nutritionists and dietitians will advise you that saving just 3500 cal per week will help you to lose 1 pound each week. This means if you typically eat a diet which contains 2500 cal per day, just cutting down to 2000 cal per day would enable you to lose weight. However, you must remember to incorporate a good fitness program into any diet. It is very hard to estimate the amount of calories you are eating;this is why I always trust my calorie counter to help me total of my entire caloric intake for the day. Calorie counters are not hard to find. In fact, there are many calorie counter applications which can be downloaded to your cell phone.
